Drug discovery has been made easier by repositioning of the drug molecule. Measured molecular effects

have been used as a basis for computationally repositioning the drug molecule.

             Recently, Napolitano F. et al.(2018) have introduced a new technique for repositioning drug molecule which

utilizes the transcriptional responses upon treatment with small molecules. So far the transcriptional effect of the drug

molecule is seen on the target gene. They have done the in-silico analysis using gene2drug software and then validated

their results obtained computationally by wet lab techniques.
